Ports and carriages are your gateway to adventure and trade, connecting towns across continents. Provided a good network, with just a small fee and a short wait, you can set sail or ride to any location in the world.

No matter the distance, you can always reach your destination even if it's beyond your port's range. The port system will calculate the fastest route which may include stopping at some other ports along the way. This means you can travel anywhere without the hassle of planning multiple stops yourself.

Creating a Port

To establish a port in your town, speak with your town's Architect and purchase a Port Master.

Level Port Tier Upgrade Cost Daily Cost Stipend
Level 1 Jetty 12,500 125 625
Level 2 Dock 22,500 225 1,125
Level 3 Harbor 42,500 425 2,125
Level 4 Megaport 70,000 700 3,500

Strikes
If your Port Master goes on strike, due to not having enough money to pay they daily cost, then your town will lose all the effects the Port Master provides. If you want to restore these effects you must pay the stipend cost associated with your current port level.

Port taxes

Town mayors have the ability to set an additional tax on their port. By default, these taxes are set to their maximum value, but town mayors can adjust them as wanted via the port menu. Whenever a player travels to a port which has taxes, whether is the destination or just part of their journey, the town bank will collect a fee.

Port Sizes

Ports come in 4 different sizes, to upgrade the port size you must level up your Port Master.

Port Type Boat Type Range (blocks) Cost (per 100 blocks) Speed (blocks/sec) Max Port Tax
Jetty Jungle Boat 700 4.5 46 10%
Dockyard Birch Boat 1200 4.0 80 15%
Harbor Oak Boat 1650 3.0 110 20%
Megaport Dark Oak Boat 2200 2.4 146 25%

Port blockades

Ports can be blockaded, preventing anyone from using them to enter or leave the town. A blockade completely disconnects the port from the global network, making travel to and from the town impossible until it is lifted. A blockaded ports will display as skeleton skull in the port menu.

When do port blockades happen ?
Port blockades occur only when a town is under siege during a war, forcing travelers to seek alternative routes or delay their journey until the conflict is resolved.

What are carriages?

Carriages serve as the inland counterpart to ports, linking towns across the same continent. With just a small fee and short wait, you can ride to any connecting carriages on the continent. The carriage system will automatically calculate the fastest route for you. Carriages provide a reliable, efficient, and accessible way to travel between inland towns, making exploration and trade easier than ever.

Creating a Carriage Stable

To establish a carriage station in your town, speak with your town's Architect and purchase a Stable Master.

Level 2 Colt Station 20,000 220 1,100
