Upon Hildegarde's eventual death, having been slain in battle by Clovia herself, Clovia would adopt "Leverette" as an epithet, an ironic trophy to mark a new age for her people. She declared the epithet to be handed down to her children as a trophy for the house. Historians often refer to the historical kingdom of Sudille as the kingdom of Leverette.

The ancient name ''Sudille'' is disputed. The most widely agreed origin is that of a geographic term, believed to be a contraction of ''"au sud de l'île"'', meaning ''at the south of the island'', referring to the kingdom's position as the most southerly domain in [[Almuren]].

== Arms ==

The arms of the House of Leverette depicts three hares in a triangular formation upon a green background, with detailing on the hares depicted as negative space. The official blazon, or formal heraldic description, is ''"[[wikipedia:Vert_(heraldry)|Vert]], three hares [[wikipedia:Attitude_(heraldry)#Courant|courant]] conjoined in triangle [[wikipedia:Argent|argent]]."''

The three hares on the arms are said to represent the three petty kingdoms of Leporidia at the time of its unification at the end of the ''états en guerre'' period, Sudille (Leverette), Baillieu, and Dubuisson in a harmonious union. The fourth petty kingdom of the era, Bonnette, had been integrated into Baillieu by this point, and so was omitted.

Green, white and gold had historically been the colours of the House of Sudille, and so were represented in the arms. While not represented on the shield, the colour of gold is used for the crest.

The motto of the House of Leverette is ''"toujours prêt, toujours libre"'', leporid for: ''"always ready, always free"''.
