In terms of appearance, they are described as being near identical to humans, but with a few key differences. They are known for having somewhat larger, broader noses, much more prominent canine teeth on both the upper and lower jaws, eyes that are more vibrant in colour, stronger jaws with a more prominent jawline and a slightly more muscular build on average compared to humans. Mature males are often all described has having some form of facial hair (even if this is only in the form of stubble), whilst females are much more likely to develop freckles on the face and body compared to their human relatives. Asides from these main differences, they are almost identical to humans, to the point the two can sometimes be confused with one another
Traditional Homo Alius clothing is often made out of a mixture of fur and hide, which they will sometimes dye vibrant colours. However due to having encountered other races, especially humans, they have started more common forms of clothing

Homo Alius are described as being on average somewhat stronger than their relatives, as their bodies have adapted to be better at physically grappling and holding down prey than humans, allowing them to maintain a higher percentage of meat in their diet. Along with this, their senses have become heightened to match, specifically their vision and sense of smell. This does however also mean that they need to eat more during each meal in order to maintain their higher metabolism, making starvation more of a likely threat to them than humans.
Homo Alius are a very social race, often building bonds with the majority of others within in their civilisations and settlements, big or small. Because of this, they’re often described as being exceedingly friendly to both their own and other races, rushing to the aid of those they know no matter the situation. This does however also result in individuals becoming much more protective of one another, meaning that wronging one individual could result in the entire settlement turning on you

Homo Alius society is very closely knit together through social bonds. Along with this, every member of said society has a role, whether it be some form of worker, higher up figure or medical professionals. Once an Alius has reached the age of twenty, they are expected to serve in their civilisation’s military to either protect their homeland, or to fight elsewhere if needed. However, some settlements and groups may not follow this rule, depending on their views
Alius People have varying languages and accents depending on where they have settled down, however all of these stem from a singular base language which is now commonly referred to simply as “Alius Speech”. Their accents are often described as sometimes being nasal in sound, especially when pronouncing vowels. Some letters or letter combo’s can have unique sounds. J’s for example can sometimes sound more like they blend into a “Sh” or Ch” sound, whilst R’s are very strongly pronounced.
Homo Alius on average are often described as a very non religious race, with most individuals often being atheist in nature. However, they do often have beliefs that whilst may being seen as a form of mythology, isn’t considered religious. And example of this can be seen through their respect of nature, which they sometimes personify as a motherly figure, and their efforts to preserve it if possible. Religious individuals are often the result of being raised by another race, or in a more religious settlement.
