✦ Introduction ✦
The Scaleborne Order is a proud and tightly-knit nation of dragonkin, deeply devoted to the worship of fire and to the strength of their community. The Order values unity, loyalty, and mutual respect above all else.
While the nation is predominantly made up of Scaleborne, a race descended from dragons, it remains open to other races such as dwarves and others who share its values. The people of the Order care deeply for one another, fostering a strong and welcoming culture.
The nation is located in the northwest of the Midlands of Erylos, where its capital, Cindervale, serves as the heart of the Order and its people.
The Scaleborne Order was founded in the aftermath of the Great Wars of Erylos and the Great Curse that shattered the Eternal Flame. In the wake of this devastation, the Order was formed to reunite the scattered Scaleborne race and restore a sense of purpose and unity.
Leadership is held by five figures known collectively as The Hydra: Soren, Molvick, Korren, Ginny, and Yeager.
✦ History ✦
✧ Before the Flame Shattered
Long before the modern formation of the Scaleborne Order, the Scaleborne race thrived in the lands of Erylos. During the era known as the Great Wars, several of the race’s most powerful houses united under one banner. This unity led to a golden age of conquest and progress as the Scaleborne expanded their reach, winning battle after battle.
At the heart of their strength was the Eternal Flame, a sacred source of magic and life said to be a divine gift. It burned as a symbol of unity, power, and purpose. At the height of their glory, disaster struck. A mysterious curse shattered the Eternal Flame, scattering its shards across the realm. Without their sacred fire, the Scaleborne lost their strength and cohesion.
Disoriented and weakened, the Scaleborne fled to the far northern frontiers of the world. Though the cold sapped their vitality, it also offered concealment from the eyes of their enemies. Hidden in exile, they endured long periods of silence and decline. Entire octaves passed with little hope of recovery.
✧ The Rediscovery of the Flame
In the depths of their exile, a discovery changed everything. A shard of the Eternal Flame was found, reigniting not only fire but the will to live and reclaim what was lost. The revelation was clear: the flame had not vanished. It had only been scattered, waiting to be reclaimed.
Hope returned to the Scaleborne. The news spread quickly, awakening forgotten memories of power and unity. Across the realm, scattered Scaleborne groups began to search for more shards, guided by a new sense of purpose.
✧ Sprout, Year 1, Allunor
On July 8, 2025, three individuals named Soren, Molvick, and Korren came together to restore what was lost. Their unity marked the foundation of what would become the Scaleborne Order.
✧ Sprout, Year 1, Allunor
On July 12, 2025, the group arrived in the northwest Midlands of Erylos. There they founded the first town of the new age, named Cindervale. It would become the capital and heart of the Order’s resurgence.
✧ Sprout, Year 1, Allunor (Following Day)
On July 13, 2025, another division of the Order established a second town called Glaceryn. With the founding of these two settlements, the return of the Scaleborne was no longer a hope. It had become a reality.
✧ A Flame Reignited
These towns represented more than simple habitation. They were symbols of return, strength, and the first steps toward reclaiming a lost legacy. The Scaleborne, once scattered and broken, had reignited their flame. Their march forward had begun.
✦ Government and Politics ✦

The Scaleborne Order is structured around a unique form of governance led by five central figures known as the Hydras. Each Hydra oversees a distinct domain within the Order and holds supreme authority in their respective field.
✧ The Hydras
The Hydras serve as the core leadership of the nation. Each is responsible for guiding the Order in their assigned domain:
- Soren Ashwynd, Head of Culture
- Molvick Blackthorne, Head of Community
- Korren Blackthorne, Head of Military
- Ginny Iarid Cimro, Head of Diplomacy
- Yeager Froststeel, Head of Economy
Each Hydra has near-absolute authority within their field, and slightly limited authority in matters belonging to the domain of another Hydra. This system ensures that all sectors remain interconnected, yet specialized.
✧ The Dreadwings
Serving directly beneath each Hydra is a trusted assistant, known as their Dreadwing. These individuals are personally chosen by their respective Hydra and assist in managing daily responsibilities and overseeing decisions.
- Olath – Dreadwing of Culture
- Marla – Dreadwing of Economy
- Ducky – Dreadwing of Community
- Veerle – Dreadwing of Diplomacy
- Madcoder – Dreadwing of Military
The Dreadwings act as advisors and enforcers of the Hydra’s will, providing continuity and support throughout the nation.
✧ The Flamekeepers
Flamekeepers are esteemed representatives of the Scaleborne Order in diplomatic matters. Trusted with carrying the voice of the Order beyond its borders, they seek out opportunities, negotiate pacts, and maintain relations with other nations. They are respected for their insight and loyalty.
Current Flamekeepers include:
- Kyara
- Lilith
- Heraldkra
✧ The Wyverns
Wyverns are the mayors and governors of settlements beyond the capital, Cindervale. Each Wyvern governs their town’s internal affairs, represents local interests to the central leadership, and ensures harmony between their people and the rest of the Order.
Current Wyverns include:
- Heraldkra
- Aplose
- Saerelyra
- Grainwryn
Together, these layers form the hierarchical structure of the Scaleborne Order, designed to preserve order, promote unity, and reignite the legacy of their people.
