House Seward
House Seward of Greenwood is a Great House of Winterhiem and the royal House of the Greenwoods, ruling over the region. It is one of the oldest lines of nobility in the North. Their sigil is a white boar on a field of light and dark green, their words "In the mud, we make our stand." A proclamation to those who threaten the land, or the Kingdom they reside in.
History
The great house was founded by Akeboun "The Boar" Seward, First of his name. A former refugee turned land owner in the early settlement of Winterhiem. Due to the harsh winters and climate of the city, a land of fertile land was awarded to him by the First King in the North, Ragnar Askrsson, "The Godless".
Akeboun and his family begun pig farming having domesticated wild boars in the region, making their fortune in selling crops and animal produce to neighboring settlements.
The Sewards held a limited role in the War of the Melons, however committed their bannermen to patrolling local settlements who had not yet bent the knee to their recognized King. They would also supply resources and help facilitate the creation of pathways and roads throughout the territory.
